Target Audience
The target audience for this meeting is physicians specializing in the areas of allergy, asthma and immunology.
Statement of Need
Continuing medical education in allergy, asthma and immunology is especially important in light of new therapeutic options that directly target the mechanisms of the immune system. Physicians are increasingly able to offer mechanism-specific pharmacological management to their patients in addition to symptom control. As the allergy, asthma, and immunology armamentarium expands, so does the complexity of therapeutic regimens, necessitating that physician’s be up-to-date on new discoveries as well as established guidelines. This multi-supported initiative will deliver the latest updates and provide practical information on asthma, allergy and immunology topics. Session topics include: indications and contraindications for vaccination, management of food allergies, airway microbiota modulation of inflammatory processes, skin manifestations of allergic diseases, management of contact dermatitis, management of secondary immune deficiency, immune dysregulation and hypersensitivity, emerging technology in the management of allergic disease, and more.
